In the US and the UK, there has been a sudden trend in making pre-wedding shots of yourself as a sexy secret picture to give to your husband. However, is this a trend that could catch on in India? Do you really see yourself parading yourself in your bra and knickers for a photographer? It doesn’t need to be as smutty and sexy as you might think (unless you want it to be). A picture of you looking relaxed and smiling (while wearing more) will be a memory to cherish, and a perfect gift to give your husband on his wedding day morning!
So how do you take pictures that your husband will appreciate?
As it sounds, a boudoir photoshoot is of you wearing some beautiful nightwear and lingerie, but done in a classy and sensible way that allows you to be as nice (or naughty) as you like! Gifting your new husband a surprise picture of you looking confident and sexy, without being too revealing, will delight him even more, as he can share it with all his friends without worrying about his wife being ogled!
Here are some tips to ensure you get the best pictures, and the best memories!
Sounds obvious, but if you don’t know your best angle, your photographer won’t either! If you’re going to pose, exaggerate each movement and pose from head to toe. Throw your hip out as far as possible if your weight is on one leg. Push your shoulder forwards to accentuate collarbones, and always suck in your tummy!
Choose a photographer:
If you don’t feel comfortable with your photographer, you’re really going to struggle when it comes to strutting your stuff! You need someone you can communicate with and who won’t make you feel self-conscious. If you feel really scared of asking a stranger to take intimate pictures, find a friend and borrow a good-quality camera, then edit the photos yourself and send them off online to be printed. No burning cheeks at the photo printing store for you!
Do your makeup carefully. The flash will wash out your colour, so make sure that you contour your cheekbones, and sweep some bronzer or dark foundation under your jawline to contrast the flash and make you look slimmer. Make sure you highlight your eyes, and wear false eyelashes for beautiful fluttering lashes.
What to wear?
Choose something that you feel COMFORTABLE in. Nothing is less sexy than constant adjusting of hemlines and straps, and it will show on your face if you’re not feeling your best. Choose a babydoll or sheer chemise if you’re worried about your wobbly tummy. Alternatively, just wear your most sexy and alluring cocktail dress, and pose away! Your mother in law will be proud! Make sure that you change into a variety of outfits so that you make the most of the session and have a selection of beautiful, vibrant pictures to choose from. You could even hint at your wedding outfit to ensure when it sees it on you, he will just be thinking of what you’re wearing underneath!
Props and Accessories
You can add some cute little touches which are personal to your new hubby and yourself. Perhaps a piece of jewellry that he gifted you on your first date, or a prop from a hobby that you both share. The possibilities are endless, and it makes the photoshoot so much more personal and special for the pair of you.
